Passionate about agriculture, this family has been farming for generations, with farming enterprises operating across three different properties in the Kilmore, Seymour region of Victoria. This mixed livestock enterprise currently runs a self-replacing Merino flock, based on Banavie blood, in addition to, prime lamb production from cast for age Merino ewes and first cross ewes and a small Angus herd. Stock health, animal welfare and a safe workplace are all high priorities.
Under direction from management, assist with all aspects of the property’s day to day operations to maximise the productivity and profitability of the properties without compromising pasture conditions, stock welfare, WH&S or human resources
Skills and Experience
With previous experience in a livestock enterprise, you will possess a sound knowledge of general livestock husbandry with a willingness to further learn and develop. Demonstrating enthusiasm and initiative, you will also be proficient with general farm maintenance and operating and maintaining farm machinery. You will also have an unrestricted driver’s license.
