Our Client

This significant enterprise has a renowned history of producing high-quality racehorses whilst also running a beef cattle operation. The pastures on this property have been shown to be amongst the highest quality in Australia.

Running 3,000 ha, with 2,000 ha of irrigated river flats and undulating paddocks, the enterprise has an extensive pasture renovation program in place. The program ensures optimal pasture conditions for the growth and development of thoroughbreds and quality cattle.


This is a hands-on and technical agronomic role in which you will assist the Agricultural Manager with pasture and fodder production as well as day-to-day farming operations and implementing the pasture renovation program.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement the fodder crop production program
  • Monitor and test pastures, soils and feed quality
  • Maintain pasture, spray and fertiliser records and monitor policies and procedures
  • Assist in maintaining a WH&S culture across the team

Education and Experience

  • A sound agronomic knowledge of pasture production
  • Tertiary qualifications in either agricultural science or agronomy
  • Experience with pasture and soil nutrition
  • Computer literacy using spreadsheets and databases
  • Strong work ethic and attention to detail
  • Leadership ability
